My Year in Painting

Looking back at 2014 I realized that I did a ton of painting.  Amazingly all of it was in the first half of the year.  Once school started this fall I didn't have much time for painting.  Now that my league has finished I am going to try and dedicate that time to painting instead of gaming.

Math by Request: Wyches vs Meganobz

There has been a a request for math from one of the readers.  Michele was wondering how many wyches were needed to kill three meganobz.  I don't have good news.  It's a lot.

The final night of our league tournament was this week.  I had already made it farther than I expected, but how far was I able to take my army?

If you were a regular reader of daemons40k you might remember that I was in the middle of a league.  Well last week we were bracketed into a single elimination tournament.  Our points were increased to 1250, up from 750, and I brought most every Fallen Angels model I own.  Things turned out hilarious and slightly enlightening.

Math by Request: Screamers vs Landraider

I had a request from reader Jon Glas for the probability related to screamers attacking a landraider.  Landraiders can be tough to kill, especially for daemons.

Mathhammer is a Dirty Word

If you go on any 40k forum or most 40k blogs you will hear people talk about 'mathhammer'.  People claiming Unit X is really good, or really bad because "Math!"  As I have mentioned previously I have a passion for math; in fact, it is my profession.  I am the person that gives people nightmares for years.  Thats right, I am a high school math teacher.

I am here to set the record straight about probability in warhammer.

Texas Hold 'em: Tactical Objectives

Last Saturday I got together with some friends for our regular gaming group.  We played a home brewed mission where there were six tactical objective that could be scored by either player.

Why?

Why do we need another 40k blog? I am terrible at writing; why do I need to be the one to write it?

I have read blogs related to nearly every aspect of warhammer, but I have never read a blog that is simply about having fun with 40k.  This seems like a strange concept, "What? 40k is inherently fun.  Why do I need to read about having fun with something that is already fun?"
